Marvel Philip
Marvel is the Founder & CEO of EdTheory, a California Department of Education certified NPA. He is a trained Physical Therapist and holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and a postgraduate certification in Geriatric Care Management, and was also part of University of Chester, UK’s post graduate certificate program on Cardiovascular rehabilitation. He has over 12 years’ experience working for small to large sized corporations catering to US Educational and Behavioral Health services settings.
Prior to founding EdTheory he was the Director of Career Services at AlphaVista Services, USA, now a therapy brand of The Stepping Stones Group. He was instrumental in recruiting 100+ local and international therapists, special educators to serve the CA school system. Marvel has extensive experience in international therapy recruitment and immigration processes.
Marvel spends his free time with his wife and their five-year-old son, loves travelling and enjoys the outdoors.
Marvel is part of the founding team of TejasAsia and is involved in all the organisation’s decision-making processes, expansion plans & upcoming projects with a focus on special education and healthcare.

Merlin Jacobs
Merlin Jacobs is a social worker by profession. She works at the Head Start Centre in Memphis, a project run by the US Government. She is passionate when it comes to helping families & children who are in need. Merlin sees it as a great privilege to help people who are suffering and in need. She has case managed hundreds of families from many nations through her role at the Head Start Centre. She believes in people & her greatest joy is to see people finding their true potential in life & living life to the fullest. She believes education can open many wonderful doors for children in poorer communities. She plays an important role in raising awareness for TejasAsia in the United States of America.
Biju Stephen
Biju has been a tremendous support to Marlo, inspiring him in every way & making sure that TejasAsia’s mission continues to help more children, youth & families in need in India. His heart goes out for the people in India. He has worked with Ford, Emerson, Siemens in Pennsylvania, USA. He is a graduate of Penn State University (Mechanical Engineering). He also completed his master’s degree in Management Technology from the University of Penn.
Tasha Hutauruk
Tasha Hutauruk is a Corporate Development Manager for one of global financial proprietary trading firms. She has more than ten years of experience in the financial market in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney.
She believes in the value of education and that education can break the cycle of inter-generational poverty. She supports TejasAsia’s vision in changing the future of children and the next generation through education and empowerment.
She holds an Information Technology bachelor degree from Keio University in Tokyo with a full-scholarship from Mitsui-Bussan.
Joseph Sam
Joseph Sam is the Business Director of the Exclusive Quarries Group. He is a Production Engineer with a Management background and is a Certified Corporate Director with an Advance Certification in Investment Law & Institutional Finance and has several added Certifications in Negotiation, Conflict Management, Change Management, Entrepreneurship and the Business of Mining, besides holding 2 Post Graduations. He has been associated with TejasAsia since its inception and supportive of the vision of Dr Marlo & Sheril Philips. Joseph believes that “the future generations of the bottom of the pyramid should be empowered by education, better healthcare and building opportunities so that they can contribute productively to nation building and global sustenance. TejasAsia has effectively displayed its cogency in programme management, resources utilitzation and fund deployment with its efforts visible tangibly in New Delhi”

Dano Joseph Cherison is an entrepreneur with business interests in Advertising, Content production, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. Having honed his chops at Saatchi & Saachi, he ventured on to establish a successful marcoms business in the Middle East and North America.
A graduate of Vancouver Film School, Dano is also currently enrolled at the Reformed Seminary. Dano now resides in Vancouver, with his wife and 4 kids.
Dano and his wife Blessy, are firm believers of the grassroots level work that Marlo and Sheril do with TejasAsia and their pragmatism that drives them to light a candle instead of cursing the darkness.
