Janvi

6 years old

Janvi who is six years old is a student of Hope School. She has two sisters and a brother. Her mother is a house maid and her father works in a factory, which does not bring a lot of financial flow in the family of six. Despite all the struggles that the family has been through her parents fought to send her to school. She began coming to Hope School initially for the first six months. But Janvi was a difficult child to handle, set in her ways but also always afraid. Because of this she felt discouraged and stopped coming to school. Our staff went out to her house and spoke to her, made her understand the importance of school and having friends. She, on the effort of our teachers and staff agreed to join back.

Today we see a drastic change in Janvi. She is a regular student now who is well disciplined and one of the best in her class. We want to help her achieve the best in life, to be by her side, guiding her throughout with the goal to give her the best education. Helping her become the person she aims to be. She says she wishes to be a Police Officer one day.

Our staff at Hope School never seems to give up on their students. They recognise capability and on doing so set forth to enhance their skills each day. Janvi is a statement to this. Of the never giving up.
